From the horseback, you experience the mountains in a new way. While the horse finds his footing on the mountain trail, you can enjoy the view and the experience. A short ride from the center of Geilo brings you all the way up to the Hallingskarvet National Park. Here you will find beautiful scenery, raging waterfalls, an impressive view toward Geilo and the Ustedalsfjorden Lake, and maybe you will get to hear the story about the chieftains that lived here during the Viking era.
Experienced instructors provide good training, and there are horses for both inexperienced and experienced riders. There are trips to suit everyone, whether you want lots of speed or a calm trip with focus on the nature experience. Choose between everything from 1-hour trips and bridle-led riding for children to day-trips and multi-day trips.
To experience the Hardangervidda plateau and the surrounding mountain areas by horseback, means that you will get an experience you will remember a long time.

Geilo is easily accessible by car, and there are daily train and bus connections from Oslo and Bergen. The closest airport is Leirin, at Fagernes.
